Sounds of the Universe is the twelfth full-length album from Depeche Mode and they’re here to remind you why you love them, joining the ranks of the many 80’s and 90’s bands who are releasing albums against the stream of new wave pop artists. It’s clear in this package they have fine-tuned their sound into a tight machine. They’ve revisited the best of their sound from the end of the 80’s and tied it up with flaming human emotion and full-bodied guitar.

The album packs a raft of analogue synths and crunchy guitar rifts. Depeche Mode have been creating these early electro sounds since most of today’s musical generation were just a glint in the milkman’s eye, so you can bet they know how to do it better than anyone.
